Wow. It’s been a hectic couple of months with toy fairs in Taiwan, the San Diego Comic-Con and finally closing it up with the 10th annual Ani-Com show right here in Hong Kong. Although not exactly as big as Comic-Con, the Hong Kong Ani-Com has it’s share of enthusiasts as you can see from the photos below.
A couple of busy booths at the show (including our own):

A few of the fans and game girls from the show and something of a surprise in the last photo.

The Taipei Toy Fair this year was amazing. It was just an awesome experience with stars like Huck Gee, Tim Biscup, Tim Tsui, Devilrobots, Touma, Kazuhiko Ito from Itokin Park and Hong Kong’s own Eric So, Winson Ma, Michael Kwong and of course, Husky Kevin. More commentary with pics below.

There were tons of people crowding around our booth and lots of picture taking. Of what you ask? Keep scrolling.

Well we had some Icy Bunny family prototypes on display and some prototypes of a new very *hush hush* 3″ series.

We also had Winson’s prototype on display. It’s a 12″ figure that we will be releasing later this year. Note the “real fur”, metal badge and rope, goggle and ice pick accessories.

Galaxy Bunch’s Michael Kwong was a real attraction — customizing DIY 8″ Alpha figures for fans. He was also on stage for an autograph session at one point for 2 1/2 hrs. Now that’s dedication.

A custom 8″ Alpha from Michael.

More from Michael.

“An extension of the popular PLUS series from PI where we combine East + West, the first PLUS Vinyl Figures come from Devilrobots + Tokidoki. From the wacky minds of Japanese designers Devilrobots: Evil King robot comes with brilliant pilot Pilot Shin K, a genious since birth. Evil King loves Japan, and features 2 Katana Blades. Both Evil King and Pilot Shin K’s energy come from Beer! Italian artist Simone Legno or better known as “Tokidoki” created big blue robot “Astrodemonio”, which is always kept nice and shiny in their home in Italy by his smaller sidekick Pilot Captain Murder Jr. “Campioni del mondo!” (Champions of the World) says Pilot Captain Murder Jr. ”

Amanda Visell has quite the following as an artist. She paints, she’s creative, she’s original AND she creates toys. For anyone who hasn’t seen her stuff (and you really should) you can go to http://amandavisell.com/ and see her collection.
Here are pictures of her up and coming Poopicorn resin figure and the painting it was based on - Amanda’s Birthday Wish painting from Nightmares and Dreams (2006) at DvA.
A pooping unicorn - what’s not to like here?
